Re: The Game Plan
Once again the obvious is overstated. Let the chess match begin. Tarvaris can and will beat you with his arm, and with his legs, but most importantly, with his running game and skilled teammates. Scenario 1) Atlanta presses the line of scrimmage to take the run away... oops play action Wade creates separation and gets some serious YAK. 2) Atlanta plays coverage, Vikings go off tackle left for a big slashing run..... 3) repeat 1 and 2. I predict a 10 point win, say 24-13.

Re: The Game Plan
Wow....talk about as lame as an article that can be written
TJ will not have to win with his arm though, but he will through the ball, and the will be quick releases, slants, and lots of play action.
How could we not run play action with our running game?
We will also call screens.
We will not have to throw the ball deep, and he will not be put into situations where he is likely to make mistakes.
We will run the with success, and throw the ball with success.
We just won't have the Moss bombs anymore.
We will be patient and efficient.

Re: The Game Plan
I think this gameplan of ours - run, run, run - will get quite the boost if Grady Jackson doesn't play because of injury.
Without Coleman or Jackson, the Vikings will run wild on the Falcons like a herd of buffalo on the plains, trampling everything in their path.
Except that these buffaloes carry an oblong pigskin, set blocks for eachother, and one of them has a nasty spin move.
i could easily see us running 40+ times tomorrow (assuming ~60 plays).
I'm thinking of a similar role for Jackson as Phillip Rivers had in their first game last season against an over-matched foe.
In that game, rivers was 8-11.
A similar number of attempts for Tarvaris is not unlikely, in my opinion. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Re: The Game Plan
they wont run 40+ times, thats far to predictable reguardless of their injuries, i think about 25-30max. tavaris has to throw the ball, we wont win with just a running game.

i hate the idea of dieing before another winning season
