LOL ! Maybe we should trade him for a Lombardi trophy !

realistically though... picking up one of these guys opens up the ability to trade Chester Taylor. If we could go that, it would help our team out drastically by letting us address one of our biggest 3 needs (arguably QB, RT, and a number 2 WR) by getting rid of our coveted # 2 RB, yet still having a solid # 2 RB in case something happened to AP. If we traded Chester to a team like Houston, Cincy, or some team along those lines, we could package it to either pick up a solid player from one of those teams (Housh) or gain another high end draft pick, all while still having a backup plan in case *crosses fingers* something happened to A.P. Then if on top of that we could add Jeff Garcia, who we can get without losing anything except cap space, and sign a RT or get/trade for one with our other 1st round pick.. we could really make something out of the situation.

    WE SHOULD GET HIM!!!!

    just kidding.
Bring him in for a look. I am never against bringing in someone for a look. If he wants to play with us and will take less money than Hicks....bring him in.
its fred taylor, do you honestly think the'll take less money than hicks?
Do you really think he'd agree to be the #3 for us?
He can't return kicks, what good would he be for us.
There is absolutely no point in bringing him in, other than eating up cap space to sit on the bench and get about 5 plays a game.
    I_bleed,
You take evrything too seriously and that's why sometimes you get lured into an argument by someone simply playing with you(me).

Seriously, Taylor is not what we need as a number 3 but neither is Hicks.
HIcks returns this year ahve been in a word lackluster. In fact he lost his job to DR last year prior to DR's injury.
ok then, but we'v ehad this argument before (se pacman thread) so I had thought you were serious.

Re: Fred Taylor Released by Jags

i hope he finds work. He has been underrated his whole career. yes he has been hurt in recent years, but every runningback gets hurt near the end of their career. that is usually why they have to retire. Maybe that is what he should do if he does not find work soon after free agency opens
    We're bringing purple back.
