Four Vikings selected to AP All-Pro Team

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/01/14/allproteam.ap/index.html?eref=sihp

Other veteran All-Pros include Manning, chosen for the fifth time, as were Minnesota guard Steve Hutchinson and Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams, and Lechler.

The Vikings had the most players on the team with four -- running back Adrian Peterson and defensive end Jared Allen also made it.

    Congratulations boys!

Without injury, Winfield and EJ Henderson also make the list methinks.

Also to note, we went from having one of the best safeties in the game to Safety being our primary weakness.

Congrats boys! I'm surprised AD made it. I guess it just goes to show how much he really helps our offense even though he had a pretty down year statistically (for him).

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

He led the league in touchdowns, was #5 in rushing yards(but only 30 away from the #2 spot,) and had more receiving yardage than the other backs in front of him in rushing yardage(beside Johnson).

He had an excellent season, fully deserved this spot.

I love that a "down season" for him, is still excellent compared to the rest of the league.

Some fans actually think that AD had a bad year. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Some fans also criticize AD for not being a "complete back". However, when his rushing yards go down, they still complain while ignoring his increased role in the passing game. AD has 66 less yards from scrimmage this year. That is 4 less yards per game.

Some fans criticized AD for not being a short yardage rusher this year, asking that we get a pounder, like Lendale White or Rashard Mendenhall, to replace CT. AD had 18 TDs this year, 14 of them were runs of 5 yards or shorter.

AD's only problem is fumbling. Even so, I would take him over Chris Johnson any day. CJ made have had the better year, but AD is the better back, and frankly I'm sick of people fooling themselves into thinking that our stud RB is not a stud.

    NFL All-Pro team

    Offense

    QB: Peyton Manning, Indianapolis.
    RB: Chris Johnson, Tennessee; Adrian Peterson, Vikings;
    FB: Leonard Weaver, Philadelphia.
    TE: Dallas Clark, Indianapolis.
WR: Andre Johnson, Houston; Wes Welker, New England.
T: Ryan Clady, Denver; Joe Thomas, Cleveland.
G: Steve Hutchinson, Vikings; Jahri Evans, New Orleans.
    C: Nick Mangold, N.Y. Jets.
    K: Nate Kaeding, San Diego.
    KR: Joshua Cribbs, Cleveland.

    Defense

DE: Jared Allen, Vikings; Dwight Freeney, Indianapolis.
T: Jay Ratliff, Dallas; Kevin Williams, Vikings.
OLB: Elvis Dumervil, Denver; DaMarcus Ware, Dallas.

CB: Charles Woodson, Green Bay; Darelle Revis, N.Y. Jets.
S: Darren Sharper, New Orleans; Adrian Wilson, Arizona.

Aren't we glad the Vikings management thought better than even offering an average veteran's contract for Sharper.

Not only Pro Bowl, but All Pro.
