Former Vikings

Tuesday is the day to look at how some former Vikings are doing so here it goes:
– Receiver Nate Burleson has six catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in three games with Seattle, putting him fourth on the team in receptions. Burleson had four catches for 42 yards and a TD in Seattle’s 42-30 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday. The Vikings will see Burleson when they play in Seattle on Oct. 22. It sounds as if the Seahawks are counting on running back Shaun Alexander (broken left foot) being back by that time.
– Receiver Koren Robinson caught his first pass as a Green Bay Packer on Sunday in a 31-24 victory over Detroit. The play went for 24 yards. Robinson is averaging 22.4 yards on seven kick returns in two games as a Packer.
– Daunte Culpepper passed for a season-low 168 yards (17 of 26) on Sunday but the Dolphins finally won a game, beating Tennessee 13-10. Culpepper also rushed the ball a season-high seven times for only 5 yards. His quarterback rating was 83.5.
– Running back Michael Bennett has rushed for 19 yards on six carries for Kansas City. All of Bennett’s rushing attempts came in a 9-6 overtime loss to Denver. The Chiefs had a bye this past weekend. Bennett is second on Kansas City’s depth chart behind Larry Johnson.
– Keith Newman, who spent much of last season as the Vikings’ starting strong-side linebacker, has yet to play in a game for the Miami Dolphins this season.
– Rams safety Corey Chavous had a season-high six tackles and a pass broken up in a 16-14 victory at Arizona on Sunday. Chavous had an interception in the Rams’ season-opener against Denver.
– Melvin Fowler, obtained by the Vikings from Cleveland in 2005, is the starting center for the Buffalo Bills. The Vikings will face the Bills on Sunday.
