    Nice work Josdin!

As I expected, we were middle of the road, but we just got passed on a lot because our run D was so good.
Or - the Vikes run D was so good because people passed so much.
The Patriots didn't bother to run on the Vikes.
What do you think their mindset was:

    A.
We can't run on these guys, so we better pass
    B.
They can't stop our passing attack, so why bother running?

As they are winners, I tend to think the Pats are more in the B camp than A.
We gave up somewhere in the area of 2.3 yards per carry. That tells me that it was just because teams didnt run on us. Our pass defense was terrible, but dont take away what we did against the run.
The Vikings didn't really face great running teams last year, to be honest.
They got a hurt Portis, missed Shaun Alexander, stopped (pretty much) Frank Gore and Willis McGahee and got pummeled by Steven Jackson.
Neither the Patriots, Jets or Packers had any interest in running the ball, and I don't think NFL teams make up their game plans based on what they're not going to do, but, rather on what they can and will do to beat the team opposing them.

The great run D of 2006 is legitimate, I'm not saying it isn't.
What I am saying is that many teams ran only as a token, which contributed to the great stats.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Belichick was way ahead of Childress on every call.
I agree they were definately more B than A.
Why run if they cannot stop our passing game.
Definately, the best coach in the NFL in New England.
