packers? So what I'm getting is pretty much anybody who makes the playoffs is someone nobody wants to face, is that about it?

Got the Colts, Saints, Eagles, Cards and Packers from the NFC. Basically the only other team is the #6 seed, whoever that is. IMO, I'd love to play the Packers in the playoffs.

I think that in the AFC no one wants to play the Chargers. To me I think that the Colts are very beatable. They have trailed 7 times this year in the 4th Quarter against all but 1 team who may have been able to overcome it.

IN the NFC its a little different. I would say that in the NFC no one wants to play the Vikes. We are beginning to hit our stride and I only see the Saints and Eagles as a major threat. The reason I would not want to play the Packers again is the "its tough to beat a team 3x in a year."

That is the oldest cliche in the book and is very inaccurate.

I have no problem facing the Packers and beating them again.

Just last year the Steelers beat the Ravens three times. The Giants did it to the Eagles in 2000 and the Redskins in 1986. There are 9 instances of it happening in the Super Bowl era.

No reason to fear the Packers on our part.

If we stumble, I just would hate to have our season ruined by the Packers. Anyone else would be fine, although I beleive we are going to Miami!

Re:Five teams nobody wants to face in the playoffs

Normally I spend this time of the season worrying about our weaknesses, This year I feel pretty confident in all areas of the team, We're just as balanced as the other top teams, I don't put much into who's hot, who's on a winning streak, Too many times teams have ended the regular season hot and lost in the first round, Then teams who squeek in win it all. Every year the Colts win 12 games and seem to be the team to beat, They do have one title, But they could be the poster team for underachieving, Meaning as long as you make the playoffs you can win it all. As long as we stay relatively injury free, and click at the right time I feel pretty good.
Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.

Re:Five teams nobody wants to face in the playoffs

Personally, I'm terrified at all of our possible playoff matchups. We will not see the 6th seed, giving us the options of:

3 Seed: Philly - Red hot, with four wins in a row. 3 of their four losses were closes games against very tough opponents. A strong finish would have a lot of people taking the Eagles very seriously. The playoff win in our house from last year also gives them a good reason to think upset.

4 Seed: Arizona - That Sunday Night game thumping we took from them would certainly give them confidence in a rematch. They might just be peaking at the right time, like last year.

5 Seed: Green Bay - The Packers are playing great ball as of late and I wouldn't expect anything less than an inspired effort if they get to face Brett Favre again. We would certainly be taking their best shot.

Re:Five teams nobody wants to face in the playoffs

The Eagles have 1 win against a winning team, the Giants and they're 7-6, and they lost to the Raiders,

We spanked the Packers twice, Sacked Rodgers 14 times and gave up 0 sacks,

The Cards have 5 losses, 4 to teams with losing records, and have beaten 1 team with a winning record-Us.

So you may find reasons to think we should fear thse teams, But you can just as easily find reasons why they aren't anything special too

    Think positive thoughts

Re:Five teams nobody wants to face in the playoffs

Its obvious that you don't want to play the #1 or #2 seeds as they have proven all year that they are a great team. Chargers, Colts, Vikings, Saints.

The Eagles are one of the teams in the NFC who on any given day can score 50 points without blinking an eye.

AFC I will go with the Bengals. When they are on, that defence is really good with the two shutdown corners with a great running game and passing game that can be hard to stop. The rest of the AFC is garbage and has no chance against the big time teams.

I would be worried about the Packers though. They have the same type of stats that the steelers did last year in their run. Just something to thing about.
    We're bringing purple back.

I feel comfortable at home this year. I hope someone knocks off the Saints.
