Fitzgerald on the trading block?

I saw reported on another board that the Cardinals are supposed to be shopping Fitzgerald for trade purposes. Allegedly this has been reported on NFL Network - anyone seen this on NFLN at all?

If true then it would be interesting to see what the Cards are looking for.

Well it would make sense to try an move Fritz.. keep the lower priced Johnson and pick up some draft picks or some Defensive help. Maybe a young stud offensive lineman might be on the wish list as well.

I have not - and PFT isn't reporting it either.
If it is on NFLN, then Adam Scheffer would be the one reporting it, and he is somewhat reliable.
But I would be surprised if the Cards are coming out about trading anybody this early.

I wanted to see what everyone would think about his CAP hit if we got him.
Wouldn't leave much for a DE.

thats true but then we could possibly look for a DE in the draft. The alternative would be to get a DE via FA - not sure who will be available - and draft a WR.

What would be the cap hit for him - $14.6 as he's currently due with the Cards?

I think we would be better off getting a FA WR, and looking to the draft for DE. I think a top drafted DE has a better chance at making an immediate impact than a WR. Of course Fitz isn't a FA so we would probably have to give up at least a first round pick.
