We need a loss on Sunday to ensure a top 10 pick.

Haha....can we even get a top 10 pick? I thought that was out of the question.

According to the list, I believe we'd be at #10, so a loss could do wonders. ;D

Here's the draft order, as near as I can figure:

    1. Detroit - I hear they have the tie-breaker over Oakland
    2. Oakland
    3. Cleveland/Tampa Bay
    4. Cleveland/Tampa Bay
    5. Washington/Arizona/Houston
    6. Washington/Arizona/Houston
    7. Washington/Arizona/Houston
    8. Minnesota
    9. Miami/San Francisco
    10. Miami/San Francisco

There are a boatload of teams at 7-8, and I don't want to look at all the tie-breakers there.
In terms of the current position and improving it, the Vikings have the tie-breaker with Miami & San Francisco (the other current 6-9 teams) because they lost to both of them.
(I *believe* the first tie-breaker is head-to-head, but I could be wrong and it might be the strength-of-schedule component).

Washington & Arizona (two of the 5-10 teams) have the tie-breaker over the Vikes, so they will be ahead of them.

So - in DRAFT terms, a loss to put the Vikes at 6-10 could possibly move the pick as high as #5 if Washington & Arizona both win (if I'm wrong about the tie-breaker and it's a strength-of-schedule thing), but is more likely to be #7.

Here are some recent #7 picks:
    2006:
Michael Huff - DB - OAK
    2005:
    Troy Williamson (oops)
    2004:
Roy Williams - WR - DET
    2003:
Byron Leftwich - QB - JAX
    2002:
Bryant McKinnie - OT - MIN
    2001:
Andre Carter - LB - SF
    2000:
Thomas Jones - RB - ARZ
    1999:
Champ Bailey - CB - WAS
    1998:
Kyle Turley - OL - NO
    1997:
Ike Hilliard - WR - NYG

A couple studs (Williams & Bailey), some solid pros (Leftwich, McKinnie, Carter) and a few duds (Jones, Hilliard, Mr. Drops).

It's all about what you do with it.

Hilliard looks alot better than TWill at this point:

    Jones too:

If anything, Carter is the dud in that list:

37 sacks in 6 seasons is better than anyone we have as a DE.
At what spot did we draft the Invisible End, Kenechi Udeze?

They are both 13-2, so they are tied.
    Tied means the same.
    Not one over the other.
My source for the records has the NFC listed first, so those teams are likely to be listed higher in the event of ties.
