thtas because its based on wins and wins alone, doesn't take into account the opponent, etc.

    lol...thanks, don't know why I didn't see that.
    np
otherwise I'd have the Saints over the Colts.
    They are tied.
    As they should be.

Here is Yahoo's QB rating for Week 8:
Who cares what some subjective Yahoo yahoo thinks about QBs?
Does the NFL use that for a playoff tie-breaker?
For seeding teams in the NFL draft order?

    Just win, baby.

    =Z=
Because just looking at the standings is fun for about 3 seconds, and give little help in determining who will win the superbowl. Anyalyzing stats and matchups is much more fun.
Does the NFL use wins and losses to determine playoff tiebreaker, no they go by division standings, The Cardinals at 4-3 are ahead of the 5-3 gaints in the playoff race.

Winning your division gets you into the playoffs, correct.
But then the wild-card teams are selected based upon wins and losses, with a series of ever-more-complicated tie-breakers used to distinguish between teams with the same record.

The problem with "Power Polls" is the subjectivity of the authors.
I use the Sporting News' Power Poll (as quoted on the Power Trip morning show this AM) as a PRIME example.
The Bengals fell three spots in their Power Poll this week - ON A FREAKING BYE!
    That is ludicrous.
How does getting a week off mean you are three spots worse than you were the week before?

Yes, I know that sorting by wins, losses and ties (and alphabetical team location name) is silly.
    That's the whole point.
Removing the subjectivity in favor of something that is clearly and easily measureable.

Chuckie has one of Dungy's SB rings.
He's a generous guy and doesn't feel like weighing himself down toting two rings around, understandable.

Dungy had 6 years to win a SB with the Bucks he failed. In his final 3 playoff games as the head coach of the Bucs the offense scored 0 points. Dungy couldn't win, Chuckie could. Dungy got what he deserved, a ticket out of town, and a chance with another team.

That makes sense since it was his first HC gig.
He built the team up and didn't produce.
I didn't remember them scoring 0 pts in three playoff bids.
I still question Chuckies HC skills and do not put him on the list of coaches I would want coaching the Vikings.
