    Fed-up Favre requests trade

Several Packers and league sources have told FOXSports.com that Brett Favre's agent Bus Cook phoned Green Bay's general manager Ted Thompson within two to three days of the draft and asked for a trade. The sources said that Cook railed off how his client was fed up with the organization and wanted out.

Favre not a Packer would just be strange.

The cheeseheads are really pissed. Most are calling for Thompson's head.

    This is amusing.

IMO Favre wants the records, and he believes that Moss would have helped him with that.

I don't think it's the records that concern Farve all that much, but it does speak to his legacy...He does not want to go out a bum..A Willie Mays, if you will...Someone that played a few years too many...Mickey Mantle regretted playing that last year..He would've been .300+ hitter for his career. THAT means alot to the old timers. I think he's hoping to go out on a fairly good note.
But Farve in another uni..??? That would be like Joe Willie....Sad, and just don't look right.

BTW, I hope the bum dies a slow, painful, boil ridden, bug infested death...

Favre needs to take a good look at himself. Is getting traded really the answer? Not only will the respect for legacy drop, but he's also making the Packer's Org. look real bad and cheapskates (not that I mind that).

IMO, the best option in this scenerio would be to just retired.

It's a no-win situation for Favre; he's really put himself in a corner by making his grievances public. Now he has no choice, he can either force an exit or be a disgruntled player (and we all know what he said about Javon Walker when he held out, so Favre would look a total hypocrite in this scenario). Or he can retire, which would make the Packers look stupid in the eyes of their fans. Favre would also look stupid - which is inevitable since he's been dragging on his retirement drama each off-season for the last 2 or 3 years.

favre isnt a team guy anyways..doesnt talk to his teammates, has his own private, seperate dressing room..hes very selfish as everyone can see by his comments

we ahte the packers, but really, this isnt a terrible move for them..rather than satisfying favre's demands now, theyre allowing youth to develop so that they wont be so crippled when favre walks away

I agree Olson, on the part about him being selfish. I couldn't believe what he said about Aaron Rodgers when the Packers drafted him.
