I thought he had the right to veto any trade written into his contract, so If the Vikings wanted him and he wanted to play here the Packers would either have to let it happen or take him back.

He does. I'm sure that is what part of the problem is. That's why the Jets & the Bucs are off the books as a trade location.

But the Vikings haven't offered anything up for Favre in the form of a trade either.

Favre essentially wants a flat out release so he can go anywhere he wants.
