One, the better Brett does, the better draft pick my team gets. Two, I know who my quarterback is next year without any off-season diva-drama, and three, my quarterback has played in 10 football games... while not a statistic, a reasonable hunch that he will actually get better as he plays more is not unreasonable.
The CSAers in green and gold are legion, yet are in the distinct minority... sometimes difficult to discern that if you just stick to lurking at the media commentary sections on the net. These are the Brett Favre love rubber-rooms of the GBP message board world.
Mods and fellow posters in the real boards have pushed the clowns into obscurity in the rest of them.
Ask Formo and Mars... especially Mars, as he is either still lusting for a 4 or just stirring turds, he knows of which I speak. I've said it before and I'll say it again, while I was strictly opposed to Brett coming to the Vikes this year, and TT held his ground nicely on that (you would be dominating this division if he had), I am no longer opposed to it... One, I want to see what it is like to play against him. Two, I want to see an Aaron Rodgers team beat him and his team, and three... the man will be 40... somethings gotta give eventually, and four, you would be no closer to a franchise quarterback than you are now. Regardless of what happens, and I sincerely hope Brett takes the Jets to the hoisting of the Lombardi trophy (not seeing it, but who knows?), I will sit in glee if there is another off-season drama involving Brett, and I can't imagine there will not be, barring injury or a major fall-off in his play.
I mean, there is absolutely nothing this man can say after the season is over that will convince people of his intentions for the next.
Sniff, sniff... I'm retired, etc. etc.
Anybody buyin' it?
First great post, nice read.
Second If Favre wins a Super Bowl he is done.
Third I have always respected Favre but he was a Puker so I didn't like him. Now he is with the Jets. He is one of the greatest QBs of all time. I wanted him to be a Vike. I don't ever see it happening but there is still a chance. It would have been sick to have him and Peterson. Championship.
Maybe playoffs, but championship is a bit of a stretch isn't it?
Maybe NFCN championship, lol.

Re: Favre vs. Rodgers tracker
I watched the Jets dominate the Titans yesterday, and Favre is simply amazing. I know there are many haters on this site, but watching him on a fake handoff, a pump fake, or looking off the safety, this guy is still flat out one of the best QB's in the game today. He was so on target, with great arm strength, and he even fell forward for a 1st down. It was a clinic on how to throw the quick slant and how to find the soft spot in Tennessee's defense. The O line was great too..and Kris Jenkins is awesome.
