Favre To Return in 06'?
Packers | Signs point to Favre returning
Fri, 17 Mar 2006 17:41:12 -0800
Rick Braun, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, believes Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre will return for the 2006 season and is just looking for a reason to return to the team. He feels that if Favre really was going to retire, he would have done so by now. Favre has gone about this offseason with his normal routine of golfing, hunting, and mowing his lawn.
Gah give it up old man you're days are numbered, I hope he doesn't end up being one of those superstars that end up staying a bit to long than they should. (Ie Rice, Emmitt Smith)

Oh, I sure hope so. We'll be losing Harrington in Detroit, so I would like to keep Bret's INT's. Just need that SS to patrol the middle, and life would be good on Packer day.

Sure would be sad to see him get hurt so he couldn't enjoy retirement! He needs to quit now before it's to late.

The old man is just asking for a serious injury. He can't move near as good as he once did, his O-Line is getting worse each season, he will be running for his life every game. Oh well, it will be fun to see the Vikes picking him off next season..

Re: Favre To Return in 06'?
Packers have a better chance winning without him. So I want him to return. Or you never know. Rogers couldnt be dud. Favre is getting too old. Hang up the shoes Brett.

I hope he comes back, Beating greenbay wont feel as good without him. As for all the "too old" stuff, he is younger than the QB we are starting.

He may be younger than BJ, but BJ doesn't have grey hair, and look like he just went through a hurricane(no pun intended). Favre has alot of miles on him, BJ looks alot healthier than Favre. Also, BJ has never even come close to throwing as many int's as Favre....
Oh by the way, beating Green Bay will always feel good, with or without Favre in the game...

Re: Favre To Return in 06'?
let's face it we all love seeing a packers qb being hammered, but love or hate them, you have to respect his achievements, ability & character. he needs to retire simply for his own integrity, because i'm sure he doesn't want to be remembered for being smashed every week & picked off every third attempt...it's only going to happen again this year if he plays on...he'd have to sleep with ron mexico to contract something potent enough to save him from being manhandled this year!
