I think Rogers is going to step in and fill his shoes nicely and keep the Packers a competitive team in the NFCN.
They seem like a young solid team all around and I don't think Favre, as great as he may be, was their biggest reason of success last year.

I think I can agree with everthing you've posted, still can't believe he is hanging it up after how well things went for him and the Packers last year.....I wonder if Brett will be able to sit out this season without making some sort of comeback in week 4-6 similar to Cris Carter.
He is a great competitor and that could be a big fight for him soon.

But who knows he could hold a conference Thursday and say "I was just thinking about it and still haven't made a decision" and this will drag on for a few more weeks

Rejoice in Viking land. Old number 4 is hanging up the cleats.Farve is a first ballet HOF QB, and it's bitter sweet that he is leaving the game. Certainly sweet for us. Now a new sheriff is gonna be the king of the NFCN, and they are clad in Purple and Gold.

As you should rejoice all you Purple people, it will be an interesting new chapter to the Green Bay Packers, but watching the Packers will be different for a little while without #4 on the field.

Levels the playing field off big time.. back to the unknowns at QB like most other franchises..
