Rodgers is ready, he had a good outing last year.
I bet he's happy to finally get a chance.
He wants to be paid as a starter now or he'll sit out ;D ;D

GREEN BAY — Mike McCarthy has no doubt about one thing: Brett Favre will have his doubts.

Maybe it'll be in a week. Or in a month. Or after the draft. Or when training camp starts. Or on the opening weekend of the regular season. But McCarthy knows it will happen.

    Re: Favre Retires

I truly hope that Fav-re's retirement is legit, and I suspect that it is.

Now that he is finally retired, I can admit that I actually respected him as a QB.
Anybody who says otherwise is looking at him only through purple glasses.
He was a gunslinger, but won considerably more games than he lost.
Whenever we played GB, if we were up by a TD or less in the final two minutes of a game, I was never comfortable.

I think he is retiring at the absolute correct time.
I think great players should always retire when they are at the top of their game.
Otherwise they stand the chance of being remembered for their last year only - especially if they did not play well.
By retiring this year, he will be remembered for achieving the TD record and being one play away from going back to the SB.
If he pushed it for another year, the only way he could improve on his final legacy is if they make the SB and win.

Once September rolls around, I can officially stop calling him Fav-re and call him by his actual (misspelled) name...

The biggest paper in Wisconsin is the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. And yes, WE DID have a 12-page special section dedicated to him! I was called in that day (my day off) to come in and help prepare the special section.
