i dont really get the pennington thing anyway.
is he really that much better than ferrotte?
ferrotte has a better arm and has just been on worse teams.
so we are gonna bring in pennington and?????????????? cut ferrotte, keep ferrotte and try to pass booty through waivers and risk losing him, while keeping a younger more atlethic qb who has been more productive than a higher 2nd round pick who pennington was having troubles beating out?
if we were gonna go get pennington why didn't we just hold on to brad johnson for the past 2 years?
    virtually the same qbs.
Pennington or Ferotte is a joke.
    Anyways

    Welcome to the Jets Favre!

    what does that mean?
How about an 11% better career completion rating at 54 to 65 for Pennington.
Or the 88 career QB rating of Pennington's to Ferotte's 74.
Not knocking Ferotte, but he's not on the same level as Pennington and saying Pennington isn't a better QB is frankly just silly.

Favre will regret this tho...the Jets aren't knockin on the superbowl door.
    Will he report?

I would think so but maybe he has another press conference saying he is going to retire.

Me too. I'm worried that a guy that can turn down 20 mil to stay retired my well agree to some deal which allows him to screwover his former employer.

yah, those are nice statisics on a shorter career and when you throw mostly 5 yard throws cuz your ball can't go pass 15 yards.
not to mention that the guy has been injured just as much as he's played.
do you ever watch any of these guys play or do you just look at qb rating and let that tell the whole tale.
if i took your assessments of qb at all seriously we would have drafted 5 qbs this past year and signed any free agent as long as his name wasn't close to sounding like tavaris jackson.

    Re: Favre a Jet

id take pennington only if he was coming here to backup jackson..reason being, pennington is that much better than frerotte ever was or ever will be..chad has led not so great teams to the playoffs, and id feel much more comfortable with him in there if jackson goes down or just cant cut it
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

    Re: Favre a Jet

Pennington is much better than Frerotte IMHO, but he's better suited going somewhere where he has a chance to start, like Atlanta or the Dolphins, or even the 49ers.
Then again, Gruden likes to collect QBs.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Yes I'm sure the Jets drafted a guy who couldn't throw it 15 yards.
I do watch these guys play, but apparently you just like to make stupid statements like the one and bold and try to say Pennington is a worse QB because of injury.
And would you please dig up all five QBs I wanted us to draft at the same time, because I think that might be you just blowing more stuff out your butt.
