When quarterback Brett Favre turns in his retirement papers, the Green Bay Packers will strike $11.4 million from payroll and quite possibly lead the National Football League in available salary cap room...

He could be crying "Wolf", and I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in September. He's dragging his feet and could decide he still wants to play. Much to our dismay he could be back. >

    Why?
As long as the Vikings are in competition with the Packers for potential FAs (Gus Frerotte, for example), I'd rather they have dead money on their cap than space with which to work.

    THINK, MAN, THINK!

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

If he doesn't file paperwork, can he get paid for sitting on his butt at home?

I'm sure Rogers is calling him every day to make sure he's still signing the papers.

don't believe so, because once you reach mandatory OTA's and such, you begin to get fined for unattendance
