The thing I found interesting about that article was Ted Thompson saying that not one team had contacted him about Favre up until Saturday night.
That certainly doesn't jive with what ESPN was saying earlier about the Vikings making an inquiry.

Broadcast stations, weblogs and magazines don't fill themselfs up. It could be fake but then again TT could be lying, so that the packers org. looks better

Packers are in the drivers seat. They don't have to do anything.
I don't think they will unless they get a compelling trade offer.

Re: Favre finally speaks for himself

When I seen Mike Mcarthy's face when being drilled by the crowd of kids I knew right there that Favre had been forced out of retirement. Nobody has come out and straight up asked "Why did Brett Favre retire". The look on McCarthy's face told the story.

Its most of what I figured the whole time, Favre was willing and wanted to play but he was placed in a major situation. From the time he retired it seemed wierd to begin with, but once you understand that the Packers orginization was not ethusiatic about bringing Favre back it makes perfect sense why he retired. Here comes July and Favre's ready to go to training camp. I also think it makes perfect sense he would like to jump the fence to Minnesota where he would be in a really good situation to get back at Teddy. Favre was probably sitting home watching Jared Allen on NFLN telling everyone our owner wants to win Championships and he's serious.

I can almost garuntee we are #1 on his list. In the event he was released and made it known to the orginization that he wants to play here, it would take some serious consideration on wether or not to attempt the option.
