Favre being shopped by Packers
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601079&sid=aGfyCrOqBeHg&refer=homeJuly 23 (Bloomberg) -- The Green Bay Packers contacted several National Football League teams yesterday about possibly trading quarterback Brett Favre, ESPN reported.
The Packers began exploring trade options after being encouraged by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to resolve Favre's situation before the start of training camp on July 27, ESPN said, citing unidentified league and players' union sources.
A couple more articles on the matter.
I wonder if they are shopping him to us?
LOL
I don't think so.

Re: Favre being shopped by Packers
my favorite part of this story, is that all they say is, he is being shopped to teams, and not what teams the pack are talking to. Stupid Mort on ESPN goes, a few AFC teams and maybe an NFC team.. Why cant people open their mouths and say what teams he is being shopped too.

Tampa should offer a third rounder for Favre... Once the trade is completed the Vikes give Tampa a second.

Let's just ditch a 24-year-old QB who is progressing nicely for a 38-year-old who can't throw it like he used to.
I mean, in the past three years, he has 66 Touchdowns and 62 Ints (with a career high 29 Ints in '05).
I'm a Vikings fan... Give me T-Jack.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I don't even like TJack, and I would rather not ditch him for a one year possibility.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

C-Mac, look at it this way too.
Half of his INTs were in one year alone.
The fact is the guy brought his team to the NFC championship game last year.
I'm not saying I do want him or don't.
But I will tell you if the Vikings do get him (highly unlikey) I definately won't cry over it.

i would, thats like the cowboys in the 70s getting Terry Bradshaw, or McNabb going to the Cowboys in a couple of years. its just wrong, and its the "winning at any costs" ideology, and i hate it"C" wrote:
