Re: Fascists on Parade @ Ford Field ....
It was pretty stupid that they tried to take it away from the guy, but that security guard crushed that dude!

The Lions are a mess. The Ford family has worn out their welcome, Mooch was used as a scapegoat, Millen should have balls and resign. Barry Sanders must be sitting somewhere relieved that he retired from that organization. I have to give the fans credit though, there aren't any fair-weather fans in the most recent generation.

Re: Fascists on Parade @ Ford Field ....
there were a lot of other fire millen signs at the game...i think they were chasing the guy because he was running through the aisles where he didn't have a ticket.
that usher sure did nail him though...i think we ought to sign that guy as a linebacker.

Re: Fascists on Parade @ Ford Field ....
I hope that guy sues the pants off the Ford family and Millen gets it also .... would serve them right from being such pompous a$$'s and putting such a crappy product on the field.

That makes more sense. I was wondering why they would deck the guy just for having that sign. Didn't seem like a big deal.there were a lot of other fire millen signs at the game...i think they were chasing the guy because he was running through the aisles where he didn't have a ticket.

Re: Fascists on Parade @ Ford Field ....
hey, the guy was lucky...at least he didn't have to watch the rest of the game. but we need more than signs...we need to start burning effigies of millen and stuff like that...i mean really pour it on.
as for the ford family, i don't think they realize that they actually own the detroit lions.

lol facists...little extreme to use that word to describe a security guard doing what he was probably told and supposed to do.

It certainly makes more sense, but I was at a Vikings game the year they fired Green & and a guy simply held up a sign that said "Fire Green" security was hot & heavy to get a hold of that sign."silvermane" wrote:

Rather than run around with it, he passed the sign down the line & people where holding it up as they where passing it along throughout the section.
Security frantically chased the sign around until they eventually finally got a hold of it & took it away from the fans.
The fan who originally held up the sign was escorted out by security.
I still don't understand what he was really doing wrong.

And just because you pay for a ticket to enter private property to enter a football game , does not mean you can say, act or display whatever you wish.
Yes you have rights to freedom of speech but not on someone elses private property.
The owners of the property can have you removed just because they want too.
Their private property rights and rules trump your free speech.
Read the fine print on the ticket, or a sign at the stadium that states it.
It is the same as states that allow a right to carry a gun with a license, saying you can't carry it on their property.
Same principle.
If they view you as a threat to their buisness, property or public image,
they can have you removed from their property.
