FASCISTS ON PARADE AT FORD FIELD

In a move that almost certainly will invite the scrutiny of the ACLU and perhaps a lawsuit, security officials at Ford Field chased down a guy who was displaying a sign that read "Fire Millen" during Sunday's game between the Lions and the Vikings.

The sign reflects a popular sentiment in Detroit and throughout the football-watching world. Indeed, many people believe that Lions CEO Matt Millen should be unemployed, in addition to or instead of former head coach Steve Mariucci.

So what's wrong with the display of a sign calling for Millens' ouster? The thing was relatively small and hastily made. Does it really constitute the kind of thing about which security should even care?

But care they did. FOX cameras showed the guy getting jacked up by a rather large security dude who wanted to confiscate the sign.

We've taken a quick look-see at the Ford Field web site, and could find no reference to signs expressing dissent with management as contraband.

We're troubled by the heavy-handed tactics of Ford Field security, and we're in the process of finding out the specific basis for the actions that unfolded.

I personally love the fact also that they were calling for "Joey" to come into the game and they also were cheering the Vikes onto Victory !!!! :lol:

I liked the shot they got of Millen on FOX after showing the "Fire Millen" guy getting rounded up by security.

I think Millen knows he's walking on thin ice in Detroit.

The vast majority of fans and pundits alike all calling for the guy's head. I bet he's gone at season's end.

I didn't get to see the game so I didn't see all this go down. Paul Allen said some stuff about it on the radio though. If anybody has some pictures or video of it please post.

I thought it was hilarious but it made no sense that they would take him down. What was he doing wrong? He had a sign... He was walking around the stadium... would I get arrested if I had a sign that said "Go Vikings" and ran around the stadium with it? no.
