From PFT:
Quote:
A page on the Packers official web site announces that quarterback Brett Favre will retire.
However, there's no mention of it on the front page of the team's official site.
So either it's accurate or the team has a dummy page ready in the event Favre quits or someone has hacked into the Packers' official site and posted a phony announcement.
EDIT: It now appears that the link is password protected. It looks like it was put up accidently and are now trying to fix it.
I'm not buying it until I see him ride off into the sunset on his sheep
I have mixed feelings about this.
I'm happy because Favre was on fire last season and I don't want to have to go against that version of Favre again.
I'm unhappy because as of lately Favre has been rather inconsistant.
one good season followed by one terrible season.
He could very well have a terrible one this year.
Also we don't know what Rogers is capable of really.
Hopefully he's a bust!
All in all thats probably a good thing.
Too bad he announced early, not entirely screwing over the organization.
Now they'll probably draft another qb in the mid rounds and be ready for Roger's eventual failure :(
pretty sure it's bullsh1t, they wouldn't announce it in this fashion.

I'm quite certain I smell bull shit.
This actually got mentioned on the radio today.
Our local sports announcer said that he didn't believe it as Lord Favreeeeee had been spending alot of time in GB this off season working out when he normally spends his whole offseason down south.
He believes that is a big indicator that Lord Rettly will make one more push this year and be done.
Were is that damn Packer fan when you need him?
Probably working on his truck.

If you look closely, the text on the right reads:
This, to me, smells like someone hacked the Packers' site, and was trying to come up with an excuse for why their page looked nothing like the rest of Packers.com.Quote:
