As of now Faneca's contrat is fine (in regards to Hutch's), both him and Moore are FAs next season so you wouldnt be losing long term rights to a player if Faneca decides not to stay.
Smith is expendable IMO.
Are you implying Faneca wouldn't sign for less money then Hutch's next year?
Otherwise yes, $1 would work for me.

Tied with Hutchinson for the best rating of any Guard. (Madden 07 with the latest roster update)

Considering that Leonard Davis got the same contract as Hutch did last year in 2007 from Dallas, I don't think there's any way you can get Faneca next year for less than Hutch or Davis."Marrdro" wrote:

Very interesting point.
Damn this FA offseason and Lenoard Davis.
The way I look at it, Faneca would be more of an asset this year then Moore would this year along with Smith the next couple years.
So if Faneca leaves in FA it is a wash.
Getting him here would open the door for contract negotiations which brings me to your point.
I am not sure of all of Hutch's stipulations...but I wonder if Faneca is offered more guarenteed and if the Vikes have a promising year in which they can offer a chance at a Ring, maybe the Bryz can work his magic along with letting Faneca know Davis' contract is a fucking joke.
Lotta ifs and it is fantasy, but IMO the R. O-line is the key to this season for me after the pass protection disaster last year.
