Seriously been thinking about this today. Do we really want Atlanta to win? If they do, then we are putting ALL our eggs into one basket hoping the Pack beats the Bears next week ... I'm torn.

Both of these QBs are like the watching the battle of the network stars. There's 1:40 left in the half and the stats:

    Orton 2/8 12 yds

    Mexico 3/12 21 yds

    Unbelievable.

What a dark option to pick I thought the bears need to only lose to us to lose the division? Don't we then carry a more favorable record against our division.

Falcons win, Pack loses, Vikes win ... We don't get division.

Falcons win, they are 9-5 and have tie breaker over us for wildcard to date. Now sure they have to go to Tampa next week, who just got blown out by the Pats ... But, I don't know ... Like I said, it's tough either way.

Here's a link showing the current standings:

No, it all boils down to the Packers. If the Bears win against the Packers then within the NFCN we both swept the Packers and Lions. The Bears have a game on us. The Bears are 4-0 in the division and we're 4-1. The Bears are 8-1 in the NFC and we're 7-4 (as of right now before this game ends).

Bottom-line is that the Bears must lose at Lambeau and we must beat the Bears at home and beat the Ravens on the road for us to take the NFCN. If we don't take the NFCN, our only other chance is tie-breaker wildcard hell....slim to none.

    NFC Conference standings:

    1 Seattle W 12-2-0
    2 N.Y. Giants E 10-4-0
    3 Carolina S 10-4-0
    4 Chicago N 9-4-0
    5 Tampa Bay S 9-5-0
    6 Atlanta S 8-5-0
    7 Minnesota N 8-6-0
    8 Washington E 8-6-0
    9 Dallas E 8-6-0

-- Atlanta wins and they are 9-5, that means we need to make up 2 games on them as they have the tie breaker head - to - head with us.

    First tie breaker:

    Division record:
    Vikes: 4-1
    Bears: 4-0

    Second tie breaker:

    Conference record:

    Vikes: 7-4
    Bears: 8-1

We are only one GB on the WC. We really need the bears to win tonight. You can't expect the packers to just walk over the bears. We need a backup plan.

I'm willing to bet that this is the worse performance in NFL history in a half by two QBs.

    Orton 2/10 12 yds
    Mexico 3/13 21 yds

I doubt there has ever been a worse performance by two QBs in the same game in a half in an NFL game, ever (or a worse sentence ever written describing it).
