Steelers | Team close to a deal with Mahan

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers have made significant progress in contract talks with free agent OL Sean Mahan (Buccaneers) and both sides hope to have a deal in place by Saturday, March 10. Mahan would likely compete with C Chukky Okobi and OG Kendall Simmons to replace retired C Jeff Hartings at center if he were to sign with the team.
