not condoning what he did, but everyone jumps all over this guy for being STUPID, i cannot for the life of me believe that he did this in an angry manner! sorry to upset anyone here, it is just a bizarre thing! To compare scott and pacman is a little far-fetched< pacman was at a club where there was a shooting (it has been implied that he ordered the shooting). and how many times has pacman been arrested?? again scott is STUPID!
how so? suffocating your child or throwing money in the air..if anything you cant compare pacman's situation to scott's in terms of sickness
Yeah, suffocating a defenseless child is a whole different ball park... if anything, I'd say Pac-Man is stupid... and yeah, Scott is just sick....
    exactly..scott is just f'n nuts

A psychologist warned that former Minnesota Viking Darrion Scott's play with his young son modeled "dangerous" behavior, but a judge Thursday placed him on two years' probation and fined him $200 for endangering the child in April....

Re: Ex-Viking Darrion Scott gets 3 game suspension & $200 fine

It's tough to say exactly what was going on in Scott's head at the time.
I'm not sure I believe his story, but at the same time I think if a 290 pound man was trying to hurt/kill the kid then the kid would have been killed.
So maybe he's just an idiot and didn't realize the danger he was putting his kid in, or maybe he's just sick and thought it was funny or something.
    I don't know.

I do think that his punishment is more severe than most people here are stating.
No, the fine and 3-game suspension aren't that big of a deal.
But he's not going to be able to see his kid for two years.
That's a pretty tough punishment for a father and keeps the kid safe if he really is sick.
He's going to have to make child support payments.
And he's going to have a hard time getting another job.
He got a $200 fine and probably lost millions in future salary.

    Sad situation overall.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]
