ESPN hired one former Viking and parted company with another on Tuesday. Former receiver Cris Carter will become part of the network's NFL coverage beginning April 1, and ex-quarterback Sean Salisbury will depart.....

Very true... however, I loved watching Salisbury tear John Clayton apart... always fun stuff.

Just announced on Sirius that Cris Carter will replace Emmitt Smith on the NFL Sunday Countdown. Can't find a link, but will post if I find it.

no brainer...Emmitt can't talk.

Was lucky enough to have met CC and Jerome Bettis; not only are those guys two of the funniest human beings I've ever met, they have credible, provacative, insight to the game, the players, and strategies.

So far what I've seen of Cris he's emotional and funny.
Also, he doesn't sugar coat anything.

I agree, much better choice. I'll never forget how Cris handled the segment on the death of Sean Taylor on HBO.
