    Re: ESPN Commentators

Maybe that could be one of the subjects covered on PTI - " Why are the MNF commentators so inept and disliked by fans everywhere?"

Lets see Lornheiser explain that one away

Well, I am about to watch it for the first time.
I'll let you know what my reaction is when I am done.

Just turn the sound off about midway through the second Qtr.

Also, check out Birks play so you can tell me if I am missing the mark on this guy this year.

Watch closely as he points at blitzers on the plays were TJ gets sacked, pushed out of the pocket.
I think he ID's the direction of the blitzer at least 4 times.
I can't record so I couldn't rewind to verify that.

I'd like to know what went wrong on the two Urlacher sacks where Birk blocked to the right and left a clear path throught to TJ both times.

Those two were clearly shown during the replays and is what pissed me off so much about Birk and the announcers.

The announcers kept pining on TJ for those and totally blanked out on the OL play.

My assesment is, if anybody would/should need help it would be Herrera and not Hutch just from a experience standpoint.
If he was gonna slide why didn't he slide coverage to that side.
Then throw in the whole fact that he didn't even know Urlacher was blitzing.
gol 'darnit the bears don't hide a blitz that well.

AP was supposed to pick up twice on those plays, and he got smoked each time.
    C est la vie.

Jaws is the only decent one on there. I still think Berman would make an amazing commentator

    Re: ESPN Commentators

That was a pretty sad announcing team last night, I could not believe how often they were flip flopping on the Vikings.
One drive they'd be going on about their schedule and what not, and then the next drive they'd be praising AP again and getting right back on that band wagon.
Pulease guys, just pick a position to stay at for ONE game at least.
