(Sports Network) - This is how a Chicago career ends, not with a bang but with a whimper.....

We used to make opposing teams backup QB's look good. Orton infact has played fairly well against us. Today I'm not scared, sure it's a division rivalry and that will be the only reason that the game could remain close. But neither Orton, or Griese will prevail against us. Chicago would be foolish to release or trade Rex. They might need to draft someone, or perhaps a trade for McNabb wouldn't surprise me. But the sad fact is Rex Grossman is Chicago's best QB. That's good for us. 8)

I could see then going after a QB in FA but failing that taking a QB high in the draft with a view to them starting soon, then just keep Grossman as a backup. Either way his starting days in Chicago are done

    agreed.

i don't see them dropping him until they have a more suitable option, he knows their offense and can play well enough to keep some people happy while they figure out a better solution.

    either way i'm happy
