Elvis Dumervil released by Denver Broncos after fax blunder
Elvis Dumervil released by Denver Broncos after fax blunder - NFL.com
.."We had to protect ourselves," a Broncos source said, pointing out that if they hadn't cut him at 1:59 p.m., they would have been forced to pay him the $12 million. It remains possible Dumervil will still sign with the Broncos, but the team faces potential salary cap implications as a result of the situation, a source said.Last edited by marshallvike; 03-15-2013 at 04:01 PM.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

We should definitely sign him... which means we won't.
But hey, we have Matt Cassell.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

Wow, that's pretty epic. I bet a couple teams are trying to contact his agent right now.

Just the fax: Elvis Dumervil is free agent
The Denver Broncos will take a $3.25 million hit in their salary cap after releasing LB Elvis Dumervil.According to the report, the Broncos could bring Dumervil back on a new deal, but salary cap restrictions may prohibit it from happening. Dumervil recorded 11 sacks, a safety, and six forced fumbles in 2012. He had 54 total tackles. Dumervil has 37.5 sacks in his last three seasons. He's a rock solid No. 2 Fantasy DL assuming he's on a team that keeps him as a defensive end and puts him in a position to rack up big sack numbers like the Broncos have. Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Y! SPORTS
. See, there's another problem with this snafu, as ESPN's Adam Schefter pointed out. By releasing Dumervil, the Broncos find themselves with a rather large dead money hit for 2013 -- almost $5 million. So, unless Dumervil wants to take an even larger pay cut, he may be out of the box altogether.Last edited by marshallvike; 03-15-2013 at 04:28 PM.

They were too busy admiring how well they did getting Welker. Forgot to fax the paperwork. LOL
It would be awesome to get the guy away from the Broncos. You know what you have to pay him also.
