Drew Brees' Future

Drew Brees was "franchised" this season, and there is a possibility that they might not resign him and let philip rivers to the starting qb position. I think that if they dont resign him, I think the 49ers are going to sign him and pick reggie bush with there first round pick. (Hopefully not, and bush falls to the vikings, or hopefully the vikings have a earlier pick then the 49ers).

Anyone else have any predictions on Drew Brees' Future?

Well, I'm not even sure they'll get rid of Brees, they might look to get rid of Philip Rivers somehow (that's what I'd do), but if they do get rid of Brees I doubt the Niners would pick him up. They put so much money into Alex Smith that there's no way he's going to sit on the bench until at least 2008. Brees wouldn't want to be a backup either, so he's going to go somewhere other than San Fran.

i think the chargers are trying to keep both of these guys. i also think that brees is going no where. he is playing great, why lose him for someone who hasnt played in the nfl?
