Re: Donnie Edwards available again this offseason?

Any drawbacks that he has been running in a 3-4 for the past 6 years and we run a 4-3 here? Has he ever played MLB?
I am of the opinion that last year was the year to get him if we were gonna make a run for him though.

Hmmmm....Edwards & Leber...could be interesting. SD connection, could work. Plus don't forget about EJ & Greenway (eventually, if he stays at weak side or not)

Napoleon played in a 3-4 in Oakland...didn't seem to hamper him last season here in our 4-3!

I agree that Edwards would be a nice additon, however 2 things.

1: He is from San Deigo (or born) so I could see him reworking a deal for a year or so to retire there.

2: He is pretty old.Had we acquired him last offseason, we'd be in a better position.I think for the way this team is heading he dosnt fit our puzzle. We're a team lookin twords making a strong push in a year or 2, we're not ready for the SuperBowl now.
    1. They won't pay him.

    2. I DID want him last year...the Vikings wouldn't listen to me!

You can't say since he is 33 he is old.
    Everybody responds different to age.
    Look at Jerry Rice.

    What about Brett Favre?
He is in his mid 30's and he looks 50.
