We've signed past their prime "teachers" before...Biekert, Cowart etc.
Let EJ prove himself at MLB again, now that he has a few seasons of experience.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Re: Donnie Edwards available again this offseason?
theVikingfan, we are not set at LB.

We definitely are not set a MLB.
We need one bad.
Not in the first 2 rounds but we do need one.

Re: Donnie Edwards available again this offseason?
Yeah...let's just keep getting rookies that don't know their asshole from a hole in the ground!
Gimme two or three good years from a player over a rookie that MIGHT be good...besides, it's not like its OUR money that I am advocating spending anyway!!!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Donnie Edwards available again this offseason?
Edwards is a teacher, those other cats were already collecting social security and only made plays ebcause nobody else couldn't.
That isn't the case with D.E.

Re: Donnie Edwards available again this offseason?
I agree that Edwards would be a nice additon, however 2 things.
1: He is from San Deigo (or born) so I could see him reworking a deal for a year or so to retire there.
2: He is pretty old.Had we acquired him last offseason, we'd be in a better position.I think for the way this team is heading he dosnt fit our puzzle. We're a team lookin twords making a strong push in a year or 2, we're not ready for the SuperBowl now.
Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

That is true. However, even if the teammates and the coaches does like him, it's pretty obvious that the organisation, for some unknown reason, doesn't like him, and will not give him a new contract.1: He is from San Deigo (or born) so I could see him reworking a deal for a year or so to retire there.
Then it doesn't matter what anyone think, we learned that when Brees were let go.
He is old, and I'm not sure about him either. But as some here has pointed out he could be a good teacher for some of our younger LBs. He also fits the scheme, and if he has a few more years in his tank, he could make an impact. We also look a little shaky in the middle, since I'm convinced that Napo won't be back.2: He is pretty old.Had we acquired him last offseason, we'd be in a better position.I think for the way this team is heading he dosnt fit our puzzle. We're a team lookin twords making a strong push in a year or 2, we're not ready for the SuperBowl now.
