Dolphins cut salaries for employees during lockout

About four months ago, the Miami Dolphins were reportedly prepared to offer Jim Harbaugh $8 million per year to take over as their new head coach, and the organization would likely have had to pay out a portion of the remaining $2.5 million on Tony Sparano's salary to complete that chain of events.

So, at one point, the Dolphins had an extra $10 million lying around for the 2011 season. Now, they're slashing the salaries of the lowest-level employees by up to 20 percent until the lockout is over. In the same breath, ownership is citing a lack of ticket sales for their reasoning to slash salaries..........

The lockout is effecting more than just the rich players and owners. Think of all the jobs related to the NFL that would be lost with a lockout. Unemployment would double.
    We're bringing purple back.

Absolutely horrific PR for the Phins. I can't believe the logic here ... just something else that makes the owners look bad.

especially considering they claim that the owners are STILL making money off the lockout.

by not paying players (bulk of their expenses) and not paying the costs of hosting games at home, all while still earning revenue from tickets and TV revenue, which apparantly will still be earned, they're making money.

just a greedy way to up that dollar sign.
