although LJ Shelton may be a good option for RT if he comes cheap.

Green might decide to retire, but if not, I don't see any harm in replacing one of our backups with him.
He did well in KC for a few years there, even with a lack of good receivers.
He is going to want to go somewhere where he thinks he can start, so there is a chance he lands here.

Only if it's Holcomb....Bollinger did a good job for us in 07 and should be rewarded with having a chance to compete in TC for the number 2 or 3 spot. JMHO.

    Cheers!

He's becoming a tad bit of a football geeser though isn't he? when i looked him up, said 9 years in the NFL, might be too old? but i really wouldn't know, i haven't seen the guy play, and didn't know about him up until about a half hour ago :P

I think someone old could be good. A mentor of sorts for Jackson, maybe take a few snaps if needed, but not really enough to take significant injury risks (I know, I know, anythign can happen on any play...). Possibly keep Jackson as starter, Green as back-up/mentor, and Bollinger as third string, or possibly second string to protect the health of green as much as possible, if Bollinger plays well enough to warrant it.

VikesFan787, Thanks for the awesome sig!

Re: Dolphins cut Green and 8 others

I am not trying to belittle anyone here but seriously people are asking if we should sign Trent"the concussion kid" Green? Have people watched any football besides The vikings this year or last?
Greene seriously 2 years ago had a head injury so severe that he had to relearn how do do some basic functions. He should of retired then, but came back and then got another head injury just as bad if not worse then the one before. I am in such disbelief right now, that this is even being brought up not once but THREE TIMES. Seriously there are players that could warrant a little consideration but Trent Green? Are you serious? Please tell me that peoples views on football has not been that warped based on Madden and FFB? Because seriously the only thing that i can figure out is that he won you a few games playing either or both to even have him mentioned. here is the reason he was released HIS CAREER IS OVER? Most everyone knows how I feel about Tjack but I would be the first one top say that I would take TJ on a bad game over Trent Green any day.

Warren Moon and Randal Cunningham are available and are probably in better health than Greene should we call their agents? ???
