DAVIE  For the second consecutive home game, the Dolphins will have to wait until the 11th hour to find out if their game will be televised locally.
The week opened with thousands of tickets left for Sunday's visit by Baltimore. Barring an extension from the NFL, the Dolphins must sell out the game by 1 p.m. today for CBS to show the game locally.
The Dolphins' last home game, Oct. 5 against San Diego, was declared a sellout only after the team got a 24-hour extension.
Every Dolphins game has been shown on local TV since a home game against the St. Louis Rams was blacked out in 1998.

Re: Dolphins: Blackout possible as tickets remain
It would be funny, because they sold out all games past season when they were awful. Now that they show some signs of life...

The game still gets played. How does that affect the success of the Vikings whether or not the Miami game is not sold out or televised in Miami?"singersp" wrote:

I'm sure other teams don't sell out such as Detroit, but they don't get mentioned here.

Re: Dolphins: Blackout possible as tickets remain
Betcha the guys with Direct Ticket can see the game and will see the same commercials that are playing on the other games being played.
Blackout or not, they will still get their TV dollars.
Only ones hurt by this are the local yutz's who won't/don't go a few miles to support their team when times are tough.
Of course some on here would contend that a fan is a fan no matter what the level he supports his team whether that be just watchings ESPN highlights or driving halfway across the country to watch them lose.
Silly fans. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
