It wasn't as widely covered as last year's Orange Out, but it happened.
And, apparently, the Lions ticket office had smiling workers hading out stickers or something to the fans who left at halftime.
    LOL.

Yeah I heard about that too.
    LOL. ;D

Cool. I'm all for proactive behaviour.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

Should have called for the fans to take a game off and have nobody show up for the game and they should have done it against a bad team from far away so no opponent fans would have shown up, if they had an empty stadium from the beginning of the game it would send a stronger message.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

What does the 2nd qtr and 8:57 mean?
I think I figured it out....

I thought about it and I can only think of this....

What does the 2nd qtr and 8 represent?

2 football franchises in Detroit have failed. One in 1925 (Detroit Panthers) and one 1928 (Detroit Wolverines)

Meaning that if they don't do something the Lions will fail also...

So, the 2nd qtr represents 2 things. 2 franchises failing and the the 2 going along with the 8 represents 1928, the last time the franchise failed.

The last time the Lions won a championship was 57.

So there is your 2nd qtr 8:57.....28 and 57....

I'm more shocked you actually spent time to figure this out, and even then I still think thats not even what the fans were thinking. I doubt they'd put that much time and thought into a walk out, especially since nobody in their right mind would say "Oh, they are walking out during the 2nd quarter at exactly 8:57. Obviously because the 2 stands for 2 franchises that failed earlier, 28 standing for 1928 being the last that failed, and the last championship they won was in 1957!. Those clever lions fans!"

you were thinking too much into something so little man

Yeah maybe I gave Lion fans too much credit... ???

Actually I didn't think long about it because my first clue was the last championship they won was 57.

Nobody else knew what it was or probably even cared.

I thought I would shed some light on the subject.
