Did the Packers get the SOD?
Looking at it now, as much as I hope not, you have to ask yourself. Did the Packers get the Steal of the Draft in 2005. You remember how Rogers and Smith were bantered about as 1 & 2 for quite sometime Rogers stock only falling on draft day all the way down to the Pack. Now you look at Smith as being a potential flop, everyone is really down on him right now, all these negatives coming up. Is Rogers going to eventually become a QB that will make SF's pick go down as one of the great blunders of all time?
Again I hope not, but just was thinking about it tonight watching the game. Do you think SF would like to have their pick over again now?
Can you say mulligan anyone?
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
Its impossible to tell seeing as how Rodgers hasn't started yet. IMO him and Smith both sucked and were only so highly considered because of the position they play, and not necessarily their ability.
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
It's hard to say at this point. We haven't seen Rogers in action so who knows.
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
I hear ya, it just got me started thinking about it tonight.
We might not be far from seeing Rogers debut.
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
Im about 5-10 minutes behind on the TiVo tonight, so I will be slow in knowing if he comes in compared to anyone watching live, but I am sure someone will let the cat out of the bag.
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
I think Smith will be a decent QB. The 49ers have some many problems blaming it on a Rookie QB is not fair.

Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
Rookies are bound to throw picks and make mistakes, both these QB's have some terrible surroundings right now. Gotta give it time to see how good these guys really are.
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
Yeah...if the S stands for Sh!t!!! LOL!!!
Re: Did the Packers get the SOD?
I dunno, but if I were the 49ers I woulda traded that shit away! Picking Rodgers @ #1 would have been stupid, and Smith wasn't #1 caliber anyway. They would have been much better off trading it for a first rounder in this year's draft and then seeing if they could trade both first rounders THIS year for the #1 or #2 pick and get Leinart or Vince Young. Now they have a crap load of cap money in a quarterback who didn't deserve that kind of salary. They're going to be down for a while I think.
