Captain Neckbeard looked pretty decent, and Matt Forte had a fantastic debut. Meanwhile the defense is back to their old selves.
Are the Bears actually that good, or does Indy just suddenly stink?

Talk about an upset, I hate to say it but.... Tonight the Bears looked like that old super bowl team from a couple years ago.

They looked good and did everything you need to do to make the colts look like utter crap. I am not worried. It is only week one
Manning didn't play a single preseason game, only practiced & it showed.
Jackson hasn't played in a preseason game for 2-1/2 weeks either. Just practice. I expect him to come out looking flat as well.
You need more than just practice to get ready for an opening day game.
For those of you who still think practice the past two weeks was all that Jackson needed, go ask Peyton his thoughts.

The loss of Jeff Saturday coupled with Manning's absolute lack of game readiness (and the injury to Dallas Clark) crippled the Colts tonight.

I'm not so sure Tarvaris will be flat, but I wouldn't be surprised if the first series or two were a bit shaky. Fortunately, AD > Addai, so that should help also.

This is one game,
the bears beat the Packers twice last year.
That was about there only bright spot last year.
They are capable of putting together a couple of good games in a season.
But don't worry they will be the same bears we all know and love rather than the team we saw tonight.
The Bears were also pumped for the game since Indy was the team to cream them in the SB.
Orton is not as good as he looked.

I though Peyton Manning was just fine, what wasn't fine was the Colts Offensive Line. Peyton was roughed up and pushed out of pocket/forced to throw on the run all night. The Bears were great they were physical, tackled well and most importantly got great pressure all game. Forte is a very good back he's a bigger guy thats no Bull, he gets north and south quickly, nice footwork, really knows how to run. Orton was another guy that did very well he looked confident and had some really nice throws, accurate all night. The biggest surprise for me was the way the Bears Offensive Line played.
Peyton certainly was off on a couple passess but just by inches, in a couple more weeks and he's hitting those, still a fairly good game for him but flustered all night. The only thing that would have made the Bears better is if they kept Berrian as a deep threat for Orton, especailly now that there offense has a real RB and a QB that won't throw the game away.
With the Bears playing on this type of level its makes for a tuff division.
