Devery Henderson
What r the chances we get this guy? Since we lost out on the TJ "Who's ya momma" sweepstakes, do we reel in this guy? He's alot younger than Housh n has lightning speed, I like him opposite 2 Berrian.
thoughts?

He can definately stretch the field.
His catching skills are a little questionable though.

I kindof like him, however, are we looking for a field stretcher or a possesion kindof guy?
Judging by the effort we put into TJ, the coaches have asked the FO to find us a upgrade in teh possesion kindof guy area until Rice matures a bit more. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

i agree but also someone who will run crossing routes and isn't afraid to go across the middle.. but at the same time won't get jammed up at the line of scrimmage...I kindof like him, however, are we looking for a field stretcher or a possesion kindof guy?

Henderson is a lot like Wade... which is fine, but I'm not sure if we need another one of those type receivers.
His stats are good, but let's not forget that he currently has an NFL great throwing the ball to him.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

i look at it more in the way they play and the speed difference... that's why i don't think they are similar.. in stature maybe but not in their game..."bleedpurple" wrote:

Re: Devery Henderson
Wade vs Henderson.
The difference in my opinion is speed and age.
Wade is good and finds ways to get opened.
SOmewhat reliable but I do remember him dropping passes last year (although the stats only show 6).
Who know's?
If Wade has Brees throwing to him maybe he does better too.
Tough to judge.
To me the VIkes need more of a threat to stretch the field.
They don't have that other than Berrian.
Rice is a good redzone guy and posession WR.
Wade is a posession WR and that's about it.
