Detroits issues
From the tidbits at the end of this article.:
There are going to be plenty of people across the league watching to see what happens in Detroit this weekend. Not only has the fan revolt against the Detroit Lions and president Matt Millen been embarrassing to the franchise, but many league insiders have been shocked by how ugly the situation has gotten.
A Detroit radio station ran a promotion to erect a pair of billboards in the city this weekend, each reading "NOT THIS MILLENIUM. … Rebuilding since '57". Fans have also organized a march and an "Orange Out" on Sunday, when the Lions play the Bengals in their home finale. And lest we forget, "Fire Millen!" chants have broken out everywhere, including Michigan and Michigan State basketball games, and a Detroit Red Wings game – in Washington, D.C.
Sounds like the Millen Man March is headed out of Detroit.

Re: Detroits issues
I watched my first football game in 1998 (not a native of the US) so I could be missing something here. Is Detroit's problem really Millen's fault? From what I understand, it's Millen's job to get talent on the team, manage salary caps and get the proper coaching staff. Talent-wise I think they are one of the most talented young teams in the NFL. If they had Marvin Lewis instead of Mariucci as coach, then this would have been a deep playoff team.
So is Millen's problem that he never hired a proper Head Coach? I know the 1st guy was a stupid idea but they eventually got rid of him and brought in Mariucci which sounded like a good idea to me.
What are your thoughts on this?Halo 4. Start another fight.

The owner is apparently in love with the guy, he gave him a contract extension! I do not know if Millen & Ford are bed buddies but makes me wonder! I would have fired him a few years ago, actually I would never have hired him in the first place!
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I enjoy the NFC North when the teams are competitive so that when an NFC North team makes the playoffs, they aren't a one game exit.
The Lions aren't even close to respectable anymore. The top management is to blame period.
What NFL fan is excited about their team playing the Lions? We just get tired of waiting for the Lions to get their act together.

Re: Detroits issues
I heard that a Detroit radio station is having a pregame anti-Lion march around the stadium to fire Millen and is encouraging fans to wear orange to show their apathy toward Millen and the Lions. That is just not a good situation.

Re: Detroits issues
why dont they just trade it away if they are just going to waste it again. give a rookie a chance to succeed in the nfl.
