Despite 0-2 starts, don't count 'em out

The Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers all were expected to challenge for division titles or at least be serious playoff contenders this season. They are all 0-2.

    - - -

Which of these 0-2 teams has the best chance to rebound and make the playoffs? I think the obvious answer is San Diego, considering how close they came to winning both games.

So which team has the next-best chance?

Tough question, but I'll say Minnesota. They've got the running game and the defense, and that combination usually is good enough to keep a team in the hunt.
Exactly what I would have said

At least we have been competitive against two very good teams. Still, we have to convert the next two games into wins, no matter who we're playing.

    I'm still optimistic as well.
The next three games are definitely winnable if the Vikes play the same on defense, and adjust the offense a little bit.

Carolina - They may be 2-0, but we can beat these guys.
Tennessee - We'll be on the road, but certainly not out of reach.
New Orleans - In the Big Easy, but again, a win is not out of the question here.

Well now.. here is a slight peak at reality.. it is far from over and this team has enough talent to compete with any team in the NFL on a weekly basis.. no need to even open the metal cover to the panic button yet..

2 one score games lost to 2 teams that both had 13-3 records and made
the conferance championships a year ago, definetly not over yet. Although the schedule doesn't get much easier.

I'm tired of fans and the team settling for mediocrity every year... this post only strengthens my feelings.

It's called a 'Losing Mentality'... and as Vikings fans, we're groomed into thinking this way.

"We lost because the other teams were good... we're not too bad... If this had happened... If that had happened"

    Same stuff, year after year.
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

    agreed.
I'm sick of being on the verge of being a good team.
Can't we just once have a 13+ win season and dominate some teams?
showing promise does nothing if they can't turn that into a win.

Thank you...I simply could not agree more completely.
