Re: Denver Looking to Move Some Running Backs?
Peyton Hillis was stellar with his oppurtunity moving from FB to RB when needed (before he too, got hurt.)
He's a keeper for sure!
Young and Torrain looked good too.
Hell, even A.Hall and Tatum Bell had some nice carries.
Of course, some will say, "Its the system."
Got to wonder just how much Josh is going to change there...Will he go to a standard blocking scheme or keep the zone?
Will the young OTs struggle with the new language?
I think Arrington is over rated.
I dont' think he's ever made it past 3rd on the Cards depth chart, and they are not known for their running game.
Buckhalter is a good all purpose back, and Jordon has his uses as your bruiser back...but, they've both have injury histories too.

Re: Denver Looking to Move Some Running Backs?
Now they want to trade Sheffler too?
WTF is he thinking?
You can't just keep pushing talented guys out the door.

Although some have questioned why the Broncos wouldn’t be determined to make a player with Tony Scheffler’s ability fit into their system, we hear the team is entertaining offers for him. Word is head coach Josh McDaniels doesn’t view Scheffler, a pass-catching tight end, as a good fit for his scheme on offense, which is supposed to feature bulkier, blocking-oriented tight ends. Sources say the team isn’t set on trading Scheffler, but an offer to their liking could be enough to spark a deal.Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: Denver Looking to Move Some Running Backs?
Yeah ... I really am puzzled by what is going on in Denver. I thought Arrington signing made sense because he can also return kicks ... but the Buckhalter and Jordan signings are perplexing as they do not seem to offer anymore than Torain, Young or Hillis.
As for now shopping Scheffler ... are you f'ing kidding me? If you are going to clean house when you come in you just do it ... you CUT Torain, Hillis, Young and Scheffler instead of the way you are going about business. Players remember when they feel wronged ... and so do their agents, who are agents for countless other players.
McDaniels is stepping on a lot of toes.

Re: Denver Looking to Move Some Running Backs?
I liked the Arrington and buckhalter.. Both are multi purpose backs
Jordan didn't make sense.. Doesn't offer much more Hillis can't
The top 2.. And Selvin and Hillis would have been good to keep around

It wasn't a necessary move, just a move to bring aboard a guy he was somewhat familiar with over guys he hadn't met yet.
I don't understand it either.

Re: Denver Looking to Move Some Running Backs?
I guess I don't know if Sheffler's blocking is lacking, but If JMc wants blocking TEs he's probably going to keep at least 3 on the roster...wouldn't you think you'd like at least one that can get open and score a TD?
Sure, look at all options with an open mind, but you don't have to blabber mouth everything to the press.
That's the way I see it too.McDaniels is stepping on a lot of toes.
Not very suave.
I'm buying into Cutler's side of the story that he's arrogant and rude.
I see he wants to show he's in control, but respect is a mighty important thing to a lot of folks.
Yeah, and look how well that worked out for us and all our former iggles...D'oh!!Very few coaches come in and don't bring in cats that are familiar with thier system My Sexy Little Pixie
Double D'oh for Broncos Fans!!
Just cuz your former team's leftovers "know the language," doesn't mean they're hot and fresh from the oven!
