Good article's, I actually saved that first article when you first posted it Marrdro, just to send to friends and reread every now and then. Good stuff, especially at the March Madness portion of the the season.
Other than some stuff Del used to post, the only place were I have been able to find something that goes through a players head as the line calls are done.

By the way, I always struggled with line calls as well.
Probably why I type about it instead of play it..... ;D
Something slips from the practice field to real game, probably adrenaline makes you forget or struggle to remember your assignment..... I had my facemask twisted by the coach once or twice. ;D
LOL, for the life of me I couldn't seem to get to a hole in practice on a certain play.
Damn guy (Coach) came out and preached me a sermon fit for beast and not man and then yelled "Run the Play" and proceeded to drag me to the hole by my face mask.

I hit the hole everytime during the game...... ;D

Re: A Day in the Life (Of an Offensive Lineman)

Fun read, I happened across a McKinnie blog on the same topic....

"I got up, ate, watched spongehead Bob.
At practice I got winded walking onto the field and noticed I had a hangnail and tried to bite it off and it hurt so badly that it brought tears to my eyes.
Man, those guys running past me are fit and in shape, I can't wait to eat a couple bacon cheeseburgers after the game.
I wonder how much it will cost for the whores next weekend?
    Damn my dripping dick hurts.
I wish this game would hurry up and get over, I was tired before I went into the game.
Fucking blocking scheme pisses me off.
I wish they would just run to the right all the time.
Man breast...mmmmmmmm....you know, I really like those things.
I can't get a good bite in with this facemask on.
    I'm hungry and tired.
I can't wait to sit on my ass when the offense goes out on the field.
I wonder if Coach Childress found my stash of twinkies and pringles.
Damn, I am hungry and tired."
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

Re: A Day in the Life (Of an Offensive Lineman)

having played line in the UK for may years, I loved that article and it reminded me of the conversation I would have with the guard (I played Center) on the way to the LOS.
    Guard "what was the play?"
Me "Shut Up, I am trying to remember the snap count!"

    Bump.
    Slow day.
    Been looking for old stuff.
    Found this little gem.
Kindof rings true with the Line discussions of the day.
