    Daunte done in Miami?

Where are all the Phin fans that claimed Daunte would take them to the Super Bowl last year?

The Dolphins are among several teams that have been contacted about making a trade for Kansas City quarterback Trent Green. Green was asked to take a pay cut or seek a trade during a meeting with Chiefs general manager Carl Peterson this week. Green is seeking a trade through his agent, Jim Steiner, and it is believed the Chiefs will take a late-round pick for Green. If the Dolphins agree to trade for Green or sign him as a free agent, it would be an indication that general manager RandyMueller and coach Cam Cameron are uncertain of Daunte Culpepper's future.

If the price is indeed a late round pick we better in on the conversation.

    - Exactly, Green could give us one or two good years. I would take that addition

Even though he's 37 this year I agree that he has something left, he threw for over 4000 yards in 2005 with a 7.92 yds/att ave., 62% completion with 17 td and 10 int. Not bad and a definate upgrade to what we have, salary would be a huge concern here as he is probably carrying a pretty big number with him. Anyone know what his 2007 compensation looks like?

That injury that Green suffered last year scared me.
On good hit and he will be out again. I am sure that has part of why they are looking to dump him. plus why get rid of Harrignton if they are not having some confidence that DC will be OK.

Green has skills a bit left in the tank, but BigDaddy has a point.
If KC is ready to dump him, they probably feel that he is still gun-shy from that hit. Regardless, he is a heady QB that could be the mentor that TJ needs.

    FWIW; KFFL.com update

Dolphins | Team takes conservative approach towards Culpepper
    Thu, 5 Apr 2007 20:19:42 -0700

Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins are taking a "wait-and-see approach" toward the future of QB Daunte Culpepper (knee), who is still recovering from knee problems. The team wants to take a quarterback in the draft, and they have spoken with free-agent quarterbacks the last few weeks.

When we stop to think about it, most folks behavior isn't perplexing after all !
