Good grief people.....Culpepper is, should be, and is, gone.
Let's do our best to get over it.

BTW, a few years ago, I was in Orlando, doing curbside check-in with my luggage.
A gold Rolls Royce was parked just ahead of my cab.
A smallish man came out of the back seat, a beautiful (stunning, in fact) woman from the passenger side front seat, and a large, rather authoritative, man emerged out of the driver's seat.
    Of course, it was Daunte.
At the time, he was our QB, prior to the injury, prior to the posturing, prior to the whining, prior to the absurd and obvious outward "waaaaah, my new coach likes Donovan more than me" complaining, and the, "I'm not coming to Training Camp unless you suck my ++++," attitude.
It was a pretty impressive display of a guy taking care of a friend (or, brother-in-law), so, I didn't bother him for his autograph.

    That said, turn the page.
Granted he was stubborn & did some whining at that time, but I don't recall him ever stating Childress liking Donovan more than him, nor was it ever about Training Camp.

Childress was in MN & McNabb was in Philly.

Much of this transpired in January/February. He was traded to the Dolphins around the March time frame. Training Camp isn't until July. 4 months after he was traded.

Daunte Culpepper didn't win a game as Detroit's starting quarterback in 2008, but one of his former teammates says he will have the chance to end that losing streak this coming season.

Ex-Lions wide receiver Mike Furrey said Culpepper will return under center heading into the 2009 campaign....

I wouldn't mind seeing Culpepper getting humiliated by his former team twice a year.

A few current Vikings still know Daunte Culpepper from his days in Minnesota. They could be getting to know him as an opponent twice a year if his former teammate is right about Detroit’s plans for him.....

they dont want to spend first overall on qb if they hold on to the pick they will take OT I really think they want out of the first spot. problem is there is no one that would be willing to trade up to that spot there is not a no fail #1 pick .
stafford and crabtree are think the most none misses.
safest pick though is the OT out of Baylor Jason Smith

I was suprised by the first post as well.
The stuff I have been seeing/listening to seems to trend to him being the starter for the Lions next year.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
