New Orleans Saints DL Darren Howard (knee) has been benched for the remainder of the 2005 season. Howard is not happy about the move and will not return to the team next year.

we should sign him in thy offseason. then we can have a studly d line

I think he's a very outstanding player but he won't come cheap and with our DE Udeze coming back next year and the break out year Erasmus is having we won't need him.

I would much rather spend that money on retaining who we have. We have a pretty good sized list of free agents that should remain Vikings.
Lance Johnstone for one.

He is old, but he is magnificent. I would keep signing him to short term deals until he wants to retire.

Our D line is pretty strong already with Pat W. Kevin W and Udeze.

We need a solid Line backer or two and our D is gonna be real pimp.

Highly agree. Our defensive line is pretty solid. Especially with Mosley proving to be a monster of a backup for Pat and Kevin. We have 2 first round picks, Johnstone (monster!) and Scott on the ends.

Like Del said, we should use that money to resign some of our current players and maybe invest in an offensive lineman.
