Darrell Bevel hired as Seahawks OC

Seems he has more value to the NFL then Brad Childress.

Well that means we only have 14 teams left to worry about in the NFC.

Bevell called some good games for the Vikings, but he also called some really poor ones. Note here that calling a good game did not always end in a win, or a poor game in a loss, but the better gameplans and playcalls were varied and were schemed to take advantage of offensive strengths and attack defensive weaknesses.

It would be nice to know how much influence Childress had on the actual gameplan. We do not know how restricted Bevell was when actually coordinating the offense.

Pete Carroll had difficulties with Jeremy Bates coordinating the Seahawks offense, so Bevell may play a similar restricted role as he did in Minnesota.

Here is a positive spin on the Bevell hire in Seattle:

I need to get out of the closet and back online again. I could have a blast with this one.

It would be poetic justice for them to hire Childress to be Bevell's QB coach. Better yet their WR coach and then sign TO and Moss lmao.

I guess I didn't have a huge problem with Bevell, but the offense was way too predictable and that is a fact. I guess that would probably have more to do with the Chilli putting his leash on Bevell more than anything. I guess I like more of an aggressive play caller. Wish him well, but not crying to see him go.
I bet you could use a cool one huh Clark...Now you're talkin Eddie...

Many League insiders will point directly to Bevell, not Childress, as the main reason Favre came to Minnesota. Now, whether you like it or not, we weren't complaining as a group of serious Vikings fans when the KAO really was a KAO in 2009, the only year in Bevell's tenure there was decent play from the QB position. Admittedly, I wasn't his biggest fan either, but, coaches, players, workers, parents, hell, all of us, hopefully improve from past experiences.

    I wish him good luck.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent
