TEXANS BRINGING IN REEVES

We've confirmed that the Texans are bringing in a "consultant" to assist with the franchise, and we're told that the guy is former NFL head coach Dan Reeves.

Per league and industry sources, the formal announcement will come at 4:30 p.m. EST Monday.

The thinking in some circles is that the move came without the input or approval of G.M. Charley Casserly, and that Casserly is expected to blow a gasket over the addition of Reeves.

The retention of Reeves also could be a sign that Casserly is in trouble, despite widespread belief that he'll survive the coming purge and get a chance to hire another coach and, the way things are going, draft another running back.

Under league rules, Reeves cannot be named the head coach, unless the Texans secretly have interviewed Art Shell or some other minority candidate for the job. Actually, Reeves could be hired as the head coach, but the Texans would face a stiff fine.

So in a nut shell I guess that mean Reeves will be the next coach of the Texans.

I guess that means that either Foge Fazio or Jerry Rhome is going to be OUR new Head Coach next year!!! :lol:
