Dallas cleaning House. Hmm Roy Williams, If he can come cheap(which I doubt) I don't see why not. Wouldn't be opposed to him, but not spending big $$$ on him either

The new stadium must be making things tight or Jerry Jones needs his face tightened again

I think our run defense is stout the way it is..... Why would we need a safety who loves to play the run. We need a safety who can hold the pass. I say give Tyrell a shot and let him mature into a good safety.

Re: Dallas releases safety Roy Williams

Roy isn't garbage as a safety, but he is a very scheme-specific player.
He's not a good fit for a team that looks for safeties to provide pass coverage (us), but for a team who shoves a safety into the box and lets him blitz and terrorize the running game, he'd be great.

I lived in Austin for a few years and caught a ton of Cowboys games, and he's very weak in coverage.
Teams attack him through the air all the time, and he's just not fast/quick enough to move with the receivers.
I think he's still a high quality ball player, but he has to be in the right scheme for his talents, which is not the cover-2.
